Hello from Motherhood Uncensored! I hope that everyone is well. First up: it’s really exciting to see our book in stores 🎉🎉 and thank you to everyone who has plugged it in their local area.
We can supply direct to smaller stores and the book is also available through all major wholesalers so if you know of a store who is interested, do have them get in touch!

Another big thank you to everyone who has submitted writing to Motherhood Uncensored over the last couple of months. We’ve published some brilliant pieces since our last update, covering a huge range of topics.

Ruth Stacey wrote about her experience with post-partum psychosis. Manjot Dhaliwal’s piece ‘Dear Motherhood’ explores the motherhood identity shift: how jarring it can feel, the gulfs that can open up between us and our friends or our former lives, and the joy of starting to re-find yourself and your people.

We’ve published brilliant poetry from Sarah Orchard (Resurfacing) and Julianne Boutaleb (The Longed for Child) and a short piece by Margaret Boynton on the Silent Bitterness she can feel, keeping track of all the uninterrupted moments, coffees and thoughts that her partner gets to enjoy whilst she is swamped with caring for children.

Nicola Kirkwood has written about the value she has found in starting to carve out time for creativity, and most recently we published an interview with the fantastic Joanna Wolfarth (details below).

I interviewed art historian and author
about her book Milk: An Intimate History of Humanity’s First Food , how the connection between class and feeding choices has changed over time, and how we should talk about breastfeeding differently.Check out the full interview:
